jedd beaudoin of F5:AltMUSIC calls heartwash hotel an "interesting hybrid that's alternately uplifting and comfortably depressive" and "one of the best feel-good-about-feeling-bad albums of the year." read the full review.

happy holidays

happy holidays, everyone. I hope you find the minor site redesign useful. more renovation is in the works.

I've been invited to play with the immensely talented david berkeley at an elliott smith benefit show at the earl here in atlanta on january 17. word is we'll be doing two songs, and proceeds from the show go to the elliott smith memorial fund for children who are victims of abuse. come on out and hear elliott's timeless music performed by fine musicians for a worthy cause.

speaking of david berkeley, his excellent new cd, after the wrecking ships, has been in my cd player non-stop. buy yourself an early christmas present (you can check it out first). you definitely won't be sorry.

while you're out on a spending spree, be sure to pick up the latest releases by grey star morning and tim williams. if you're already in the know about these two up-and-comers, why not share the joy with your loved ones?

support local music, have a joyous christmas, hanukkah, kwanzaa, solstice, or festivus, and a peaceful new year.

new releases
